Volleyball Recap: Lake Region Triumphs

Lake Region saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Roosevelt Academy Eagles by a score of 2-0.

Yatnielis Medina Gonzalez paced Lake Region's offense, picking up four kills. Medina Gonzalez really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Charlotte Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Lake Region's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-18. As for Roosevelt Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Lake Region wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bartow on the 30th. Hopefully Roosevelt Academy paid attention to the Thunder's match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Thunder at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
