Baseball Recap: Vallivue Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Vallivue hadn't done well against Rocky Mountain recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Falcons never let the Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three contests in a row.

The result came thanks to Isaac Farrel's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Vallivue is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Baren Vadapalli was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Clay Cope, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

The win got Vallivue back to even at 7-7. As for Rocky Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Vallivue will head out to take on Skyview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Rocky Mountain, they will host Boise at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Brave have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
