Football Recap: Vermillion Comes Up Short

Vermillion lost against Madison back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tanagers took a 34-15 bruising from the Bulldogs. The Tanagers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Shane Veenhof, who picked up 114 receiving yards and three TDs for Madison. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Veenhof a new career-high.

Vermillion's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Madison, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Vermillion has already played their next game, a 29-14 defeat against Milbank on the 26th. As for Madison, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-6 loss against Sioux Falls Christian on the 26th.
