Basketball Recap: Clyde Takes a Loss

If Clyde was feeling good fresh off their 81-39 takedown of Waite last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clyde Fliers fell 72-60 to the Sandusky Blue Streaks on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Fliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 405th, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 93rd).

AaZoriyon Bonner was nothing short of spectacular for Sandusky: he went 8 of 11 on his way to 19 points along with seven boards and six assists. That's the most assists Bonner has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir Aaron, who went 6 for 15 en route to 17 points and three steals.

Clyde's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Sandusky, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Clyde has already played their next contest, a 75-56 loss against Calvert on the 11th. As for Sandusky, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-55 win against Bellevue on the 17th.
