Football Recap: McCluer Comes Up Short

McCluer lost against Parkway North back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Comets were dealt a 51-14 defeat at the hands of the Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Vikings are ranked 36th).

McCluer's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Parkway North, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, McCluer will head out to take on Cardinal Ritter College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Parkway North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
