Baseball Recap: Junction City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harmony Grove on Thursday, Junction City came back down to earth. The Dragons lost 11-2 to the Parkers Chapel Trojans on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Junction City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nemo Caldwell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Junction City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Parkers Chapel, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Junction City is set to challenge their familiar foe Gurdon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Parkers Chapel will square off against rival Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 2.3, the Bears 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
