Volleyball Game Preview: Cyprus Pirates vs. Hunter Wolverines

Cyprus is 0-3 against Hunter since March of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Pirates will look to defend their home court against the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Cyprus is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Kearns.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-23, 20-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Hunter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to West Jordan. The shutout was out of character for the Wolverines seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Hunter was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-22.

Cyprus' loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Hunter, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
