Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Grace Stenger and Maddie Summers Lead Lake Catholic to Victory

While Lake Catholic's win against Beaumont School wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Blue Streaks 3-2 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Lake Catholic who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 21-25, 25-12, 24-26, 15-12.

Lake Catholic was led to victory by Maddie Summers and Grace Stenger. Summers had 13 digs and one assist, while Stenger had 12 digs and one assist. Those 13 digs gave Summers a new career-high. Kenzie Smith also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The win got Lake Catholic back to even at 8-8. As for Beaumont School, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Lake Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Holy Name on the 25th. As for Beaumont School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Hathaway Brown on the 25th.
