Recap: Pepperell Dragons vs. Coosa Eagles
Even though the Pepperell Dragons have not done well against the Coosa Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Pepperell made off with a 56-55 victory over Coosa. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pepperell was led to victory by Kendyl Brewster and Chris Fife. Brewster scored seven points along with nine assists and eight steals, while Fife scored 21 points. Brewster also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Landon Lockwood, who scored eight points.
Pepperell's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Coosa, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Pepperell will head out on the road to face off against Dade County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coosa, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Cedar Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th.
