Football Recap: Littlestown Takes a Loss

Littlestown played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Penn Manor Comets and fell 39-6. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Randy Guthrie was his usual excellent self, rushing for 153 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry for Penn Manor. Those 153 rushing yards gave Guthrie a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Jalen Dupree, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Littlestown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Penn Manor, their record now sits at 2-5.

Looking ahead, Littlestown will host Delone Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for Penn Manor, they will head out to face off against Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Comets will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
