Ramon Guzman gave up the fewest walks he has since back in April of 2024 on Friday. He struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Guzman's strong effort led Wasilla over Lathrop and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are a perfect 10-0 against the Malemutes going back to June of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
