Volleyball Game Preview: St. Margaret's Tartans vs. Burroughs Bears

After both having extra time off, the St. Margaret's Tartans and the Burroughs Bears will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with St. Margaret's sitting on 15 straight victories and Burroughs on six.

St. Margaret's is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Fountain Valley.

St. Margaret's never let Fountain Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-13, 25-19.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Burroughs sidestepped Servite for a 3-2 win.

Burroughs pushed their record up to 30-6 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. As for St. Margaret's, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.

Everything went St. Margaret's way against Burroughs when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as St. Margaret's made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Tartans repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
