Basketball Recap: Blair Bears vs. Waverly Vikings
Blair proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 26) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Waverly Vikings out 50-48. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Vikings last Tuesday, they had to take a 47-24 defeat.
Blair got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addie Sullivan out in front who posted 17 points. Taytum Macholan was another key player, putting up 15 points.
Waverly's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Christiansen, who had 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Harms, who put up 11 points.
