Football Recap: Cedar Creek Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Cedar Creek's offense. They had to suffer through a 30-0 loss at the hands of the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 46 points in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jonesboro-Hodge found their leader in sophomore JaQuan Qualls, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Cedar Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Cedar Creek will venture away from home to square off against St. Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.7 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, they will be playing at home against North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Hurricanes at the right time seeing as the Hurricanes are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
