Softball Recap: Mohawk Comes Up Short

Mohawk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the East Linn Christian Academy Eagles. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Maya Chanley made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Amelie Binder also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Mohawk now has a losing record of 4-5. As for East Linn Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mohawk will square off against Gervais at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Linn Christian Academy, they will take on Santiam at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
