Recap: Lakeland Chiefs vs. Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns
The Lakeland Chiefs were the 64-62 winner over the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Lakeland falling 56-41.
Despite the loss, Lakeland still got an impressive performance from Billy Hazelton, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of David Naniewicz, who scored 4 points.
Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wallenpaupack Area, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeland will face off against Lake-Lehman at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Wyoming Area at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
