Somers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over the Carmel Rams. That's more bragging rights for the Tuskers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Emily Boyle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Boyle was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Keira Griggs was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Peanamanda, who went 4-for-6 with four runs and two triples.
Somers' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Carmel, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
