Comsewogue and Deer Park are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Comsewogue will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Comsewogue earned a 5-2 victory over West Islip.

Maggie Burrell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Burrell was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Adrianna Napolitano was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Natalia Pashkin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Comsewogue lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Deer Park duked it out with West Babylon on Wednesday. The Falcons walked away with a 5-1 win over the Eagles.

Comsewogue's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Deer Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

Everything went Comsewogue's way against Deer Park in their previous meeting back in April, as Comsewogue made off with an 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
