Basketball Game Preview: Camas Valley Hornets vs. Yoncalla Eagles

The Camas Valley Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Yoncalla Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Yoncalla took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Camas Valley, who comes in off a win.

Camas Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 66-39 win over Powers. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.

Meanwhile, Yoncalla unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a blow against North Douglas, falling 77-37. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while North Douglas are ranked 93rd).

Yoncalla's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7. As for Camas Valley, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Camas Valley beat Yoncalla 66-55 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Camas Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Yoncalla turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
