Volleyball Game Preview: Perry Meridian Falcons vs. Zionsville Eagles

The Perry Meridian Falcons will challenge the Zionsville Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Perry Meridian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Roncalli, who was ranked second at the time (Perry Meridian was ranked eighth). The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Royals on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Zionsville unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Franklin Central by a score of 3-2.

Zionsville couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Franklin Central a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 21-31, 20-25, 15-11.

Zionsville's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Perry Meridian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-5 record this season.

Perry Meridian couldn't quite get it done against Zionsville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
