Recap: Cottondale Hornets vs. Blountstown Tigers
The Cottondale Hornets lost against the Blountstown Tigers two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cottondale was beaten by the Tigers 47-13. Cottondale has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Blountstown found their leader in underclassman Jill Davis, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Rendi Brogden was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Cottondale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Blountstown, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.
Cottondale will face off against the Tigers at TBD on Monday. As for Blountstown, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Tiger Sharks at 5:15 p.m. Port St. Joe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 590th, while the Tigers are ranked 204th).
