Baseball Recap: Mammoth's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Boron, Mammoth was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Lone Pine Golden Eagles. The win was some much needed relief for the Huskies as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brennan Deaver spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, DJ Gray was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Martin Walker, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Mammoth's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Lone Pine, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Mammoth will face off against California City at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lone Pine, they will square off against Immanuel Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
