Volleyball Recap: Delavan-Darien Wins Going Away Against Monroe

Delavan-Darien had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Monroe on Tuesday. The Comets blew past the Cheesemakers 3-0. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Cheesemakers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Delavan-Darien not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Monroe between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

Delaney Stallings was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 21 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last five contests. Peyton Gehl also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Delavan-Darien's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Monroe, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
