Basketball Recap: Walker Finds Playoff Glory Versus Sulphur

It's playoff time, and Walker had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Sulphur Golden Tors 47-30 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three matchups in a row.

It was another big night for Arionna Patterson, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Walker's points. Kadyn Green was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Walker's victory bumped their record up to 32-2. As for Sulphur, they moved to 28-4 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Coming up, Walker will take on Zachary at 8:00 p.m. on March 6th. Zachary knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Walker likes a good challenge. Sulphur does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
