Softball Recap: Seguin Takes a Loss

Seguin lost against Joshua back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seguin Cougars lost 22-4 to the Joshua Owls. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seguin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izel Lincon, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Lincon wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Seguin lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Seguin's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Joshua, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8.

When Seguin and Joshua next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Seguin will take on Burleson and their three-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Joshua will try to stop Centennial's three-game winning streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
