Soccer Game Preview: Delcastle Technical vs. William Penn

The Delcastle Technical Cougars will take on the William Penn Colonials at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delcastle Technical's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Delcastle Technical is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Sanford, who was ranked ninth at the time (Delcastle Technical was ranked 17th). The Cougars fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, William Penn's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Woodbridge by a score of 3-1. Brandon Vazzana had the honor of scoring the game-winner for William Penn.

Delcastle Technical's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for William Penn, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Everything went Delcastle Technical's way against William Penn in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Delcastle Technical made off with a 5-1 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Colonials have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
