Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain Valley). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mount Abram Roadrunners a 22-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on six straight.
Addison Libby looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Mountain Valley got a massive performance out of Layce Boucher, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Kyanah Wing was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Mountain Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .743. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Mountain Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
