Baseball Game Preview: Essex Trojans vs. Griswold Tigers

Essex is 1-9 against Griswold since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Trojans will host the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Essex has given up an average of 24.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Essex is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 15-0 to East Mills.

Meanwhile, Griswold hadn't done well against Fremont-Mills recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 4-3.

Essex's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Griswold, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
