Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montgomery Bell Academy). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Hillsboro Burros on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Big Red also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2021.

The win made it two in a row for Montgomery Bell Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Hillsboro, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery Bell Academy will head out to challenge Father Ryan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery Bell Academy is facing Father Ryan at the right time seeing as Father Ryan is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Hillsboro, they will take on Cane Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Cane Ridge has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something Hillsboro will no doubt try to take advantage of.
