Basketball Recap: The Epiphany School of Global Studies Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Epiphany School of Global Studies extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 5-7. They took a blow against the Liberty Christian Academy Heat, falling 63-27. The Falcons lost against the Heat in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 66-56 score last time.

Finley Parker was The Epiphany School of Global Studies' leading scorer, having posted six points. Parker also led the team in assists with five. Wood Mattocks held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

As for Liberty Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Taelin Burney had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Pittman, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Coming up, The Epiphany School of Global Studies will be home for the holidays to greet East Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons will be up against the Mariners' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Coastal Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
