Basketball Recap: Harvest Prep Piles Up the Points Against Amanda-Clearcreek

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Harvest Prep had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They breezed past the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces to the tune of 72-24. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Aces are ranked 707th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Brandon Roddy, who went 7-for-9 to rack up 16 points and five steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in shooting accuracy (78%). Khalil Daniels was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Harvest Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Harvest Prep's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they dropped their record down to 3-20 with the defeat, which was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season.
