The Antelope Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the Rio Linda Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Antelope is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Antelope made up a huge gap compared to their last game against McClatchy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Titans fell just short of the Lions by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday.

Antelope saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Jimenez, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Rio Linda fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Dixon on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Rams, falling 10-2. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Rio Linda's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Antelope, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Antelope has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. However, it's not like Rio Linda struggles in that department as they've averaged .453. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
