Basketball Recap: Isaiah Johnson Key Part of a Team Effort in Raiders Win

On Saturday, the Atholton Raiders earned a 73-66 win over Kingdom Christian Academy.

Atholton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Johnson, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight steals and six assists. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Lyons, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 23 points.

Atholton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Atholton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Atholton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Marriotts Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on January 13, 2025. Kingdom Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
