Jennings County is 9-1 against Madison since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Cubs at 5:30 p.m. Jennings County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Jennings County came up short against Columbus North and fell 6-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arian Day spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jennings County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Hack, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Madison fell victim to Oldham County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colonels.

Madison's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10. As for Jennings County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Everything went Jennings County's way against Madison when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Jennings County made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
