Baseball Game Preview: Canterbury Cougars vs. Bonita Springs Bullsharks

The Canterbury Cougars will face off against the Bonita Springs Bullsharks at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Canterbury had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of Fort Myers by a score of 2-1.

Canterbury got a good showing from Ashby Piatt, who struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Brayden Habuda made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Bonita Springs made sure to put some runs up on the board against Oasis on Thursday. Bonita Springs put the hurt on Oasis with a sharp 13-3 victory. The Bullsharks haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Canterbury was able to grind out a solid victory over Bonita Springs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 9-4. Does Canterbury have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bonita Springs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
