Volleyball Recap: Fishers Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Fishers had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Avon Orioles. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Orioles, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Fishers was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8, 25-9.

Nate Fitzwater paced Fishers' offense, picking up seven kills. Fitzwater got some help from JT Guler and his 17 assists. Ethan Luenemann controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Fishers' victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2. As for Avon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Coincidentally, Fishers and Avon will both be playing Center Grove the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Orioles will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
