Baseball Recap: Tolono Unity Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tolono Unity can now relate to. They fell just short of the Monticello Sages by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sages this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in April.

Tolono Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Monticello, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

Tolono Unity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monticello, they will square off against Sacred Heart-Griffin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sages 2.5, the Cyclones 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
