Softball Game Preview: Serra Cavaliers vs. Mary Star of the Sea Stars

The Serra Cavaliers are taking a road trip to face off against the Mary Star of the Sea Stars at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Serra comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Serra lost 26-3 to Ramona Convent two weeks ago.

Serra saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jada Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Mary Star of the Sea came up short against Bishop Conaty-Loretto on Monday and fell 5-2. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amaree Arellano was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Maris Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Serra's record now sits at 0-10. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their record is now 2-9.

Serra suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Mary Star of the Sea when the teams last played back in March. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
