Softball Recap: Bruton Panthers vs. Lafayette Rams
Bruton's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lafayette Rams 8-6. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Madyson Califano made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Taylor Mass was incredible, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. TK Wynkoop also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Bruton's record now sits at 4-18. As for Lafayette, they are on a 41-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.
As of now, neither Bruton nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
