Baseball Game Preview: Wall Hawks vs. Jim Ned Indians

For the second straight game, Wall will face off against Jim Ned. The Hawks will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wall 3.6, Jim Ned 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Wall was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Jim Ned on Thursday. The Hawks were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over the Indians. Considering the Hawks have won 17 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Wall let Hagyn Barbee and Caleb Braden run wild. Barbee went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Braden went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Braden has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Reichenau, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Wall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jim Ned only posted an OBP of .300.

Wall is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Jim Ned, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-6.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wall has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .521. However, it's not like Jim Ned struggles in that department as they've averaged .520. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
