Softball Recap: First Coast Christian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Christian Academy, First Coast Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Eagle's View Warriors 13-11. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 13-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Maddie Kramer was excellent, scoring four runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaisha Upperman, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

First Coast Christian's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-1. As for Eagle's View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

First Coast Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Old Plank Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Eagle's View, they will host St. Johns Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Johns Country Day has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something Eagle's View will no doubt try to take advantage of.
