Basketball Game Preview: Kuna Kavemen vs. Timberline Wolves

The Kuna Kavemen are taking a road trip to square off against the Timberline Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Kuna is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Borah, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Kuna was ranked eighth). Kuna took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Borah. The contest marked the Kavemen's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Timberline, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Centennial by a score of 56-45 on Wednesday.

Timberline is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Kuna, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Kuna strolled past Timberline in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 54-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kuna since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
