Magnet Cove proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Poyen Indians, sneaking past 2-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Tayla Tanaka's shutout, as she gave up just seven hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mailynn Tanaka, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Magnet Cove now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Poyen, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Magnet Cove wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Gurdon on the 21st. As for Poyen, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-2 loss against Hampton on the 20th.
