Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Christian Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mishawaka, Elkhart Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Culver Community Cavaliers by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Elkhart Christian Academy was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 20-25, 25-19, 25-12.

Ryleigh Viront paced Elkhart Christian Academy's offense, picking up 24 kills. Viront got some help from Kiara Trovatore and her 50 assists. Mia Hibbard controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Elkhart Christian Academy's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-11. As for Culver Community, they dropped their record down to 14-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Elkhart Christian Academy will welcome Lakeland Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Culver Community, they will square off against LaVille at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
