The Southside Tigers will take on the Westside Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southside, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Westside's (thus far) undefeated season.

Southside is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Fountain Inn on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Southside was beaten by Fountain Inn 55-26. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Fury are ranked 75th).

Chancler Mcclure put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 183 yards on 16 of 33 attempts. 93 of Mcclure's passing yards were hauled in by Tyrell Bailey.

Meanwhile, Westside got the win against Wren on Friday by a conclusive 56-34. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Cutter Woods was his usual excellent self, throwing for 262 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.

Westside pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Southside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
