Basketball Game Preview: North Rowan Cavaliers vs. Mount Pleasant Tigers

The North Rowan Cavaliers and the Mount Pleasant Tigers will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. North Rowan is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, North Rowan came up short against Salisbury and fell 49-37.

Loss or not, North Rowan got some senior leadership from Dasia Elder and Allanah McAuthur. Elder dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards, while McAuthur posted 11 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for Elder. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrionna King, who had five points.

Meanwhile, Mount Pleasant fought the good fight in their overtime game against Carson on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 47-44. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

North Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mount Pleasant, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-4.
