Basketball Recap: Coral Springs Charter Panthers vs. Tradition Prep Pirates

When it comes to explaining why Coral Springs Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jalen McGregor. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. McGregor is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.
Tradition Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Armstrong led the charge by scoring 16 points. Another player making a difference was Christian Arisi, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Coral Springs Charter dropped their record down to 1-17 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Tradition Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coral Springs Charter will square off against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Miramar presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in Florida (the Patriots are ranked 225th, while the Panthers are ranked 675th). As for Tradition Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Somerset Academy - Canyons has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
