Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Treutlen). They won by a run and slipped past the Hawkinsville Red Devils 11-10. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Treutlen got a big performance out of Kenley Kight, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Gillis, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Treutlen kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Treutlen's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Hawkinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Treutlen will challenge Telfair County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hawkinsville, they will head out to face off against Crisp County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
