Asheville Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the A.C. Reynolds Rockets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Asheville Christian Academy got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-10, 27-29, 15-12.

Caroline Peterson paced Asheville Christian Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Peterson got some help from Caroline Simpson and her 38 assists. Simpson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Anna Ruth Brookshire, racking up three apiece.

Asheville Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for A.C. Reynolds, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Asheville Christian Academy will take on Spartanburg Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for A.C. Reynolds, they will challenge Brevard at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
