There's no place like home for Breese Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let the East Alton-Wood River Oilers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Saturday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.

Breese Central pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Alton-Wood River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Breese Central will square off against Red Bud at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 4, the Musketeers 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for East Alton-Wood River, they will head out to take on Southwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
